My name is Frederik Strobl, I am a pharmacist and father and together with my family I run the four Käfer pharmacies in Amberg-Sulzbach (www.kaefer-apotheken.de).
In July 2022 I have in my pharmacy together with my laboratory team MARIMU - The best for your child developed.

Let's go back in time a little...
My daughter was born in March 2022 – unfortunately with some teething problems. So we had to spend some time in the pediatric intensive care unit – with lots of ups and downs. She just didn't want to eat properly, but mone woman has worked tirelessly to keep milk production going so our daughter can have that all-important breast milk when she needs it. On the advice of the pediatric nurses, we froze the expressed milk in the freezer.
After months, we were finally able to take our daughter home! A wonderful feeling! We quickly settled in at home. But the question soon arose as to what we should do with all the frozen breast milk.
Our midwife gave us tips such as bathing in breast milk, rubbing dry areas and much more. We kept hearing how perfect breast milk was, but only almost perfect, because unfortunately breast milk only has a very limited shelf life.
When my wife said, “You're a pharmacist, you must be able to do something.”, my pharmaceutical ambition was awakened - that same night I started researching what else could be done with breast milk. I finally got stuck on the topic of “breast milk cream”. But no matter what I read – all of the homemade creams had a maximum shelf life of between 5-7 days. So I had to create a breast milk cream that lasted longer and in a natural way - without chemicals.
Said and done! The next morning we started! Research first, then try. With my wife's frozen breast milk, my lab team and I got started! After numerous tests and investigations into tolerability, harmlessness, quality, durability and much more, we finally had the product in our hands.

Now we finally had MARIMU, an individual breast milk cream, made from the mother's own breast milk and thus optimally adapted to the needs of your own child, in our hands.
But that wasn't enough for me! I didn't just want to create a perfect product, I wanted MARIMU to bring joy to mothers. And so I set about the “practical” problems, some of which I experienced myself. A whole repertoire of problems accumulated. Regardless of whether it was breaking the tube packaging, removing the necessary amount - sometimes too much, sometimes too little - or the contamination problem with tubes, all of that concerned me. It was clear that something different was needed and so we found the solution in our high-quality and practical dosing dispenser with its sensitive dosing head.
After designing the label, the product was perfect all round – individuality, functionality and optics combined in one product.”
